Held "Primary Entry Promotion for Startup Companies" in Seattle, Washington, U.S.A.
On Monday, January 30, 2023 (local time), the Center, together with the Hyogo Prefecture Washington State Office and the Kobe Seattle Business Office, held a "First Stage Promotion for Startup Companies" in Seattle, Washington, USA.
The promotion introduced the "strengths of Hyogo Prefecture," such as the prefecture's characteristics, ease of living, and high quality of life, as well as the excellent investment environment for expanding into the prefecture.
The event was held at the Consul General's official residence and co-hosted by the Consulate-General of Japan in Seattle. In collaboration with Washington State, which celebrates the 60th anniversary of its sister state relationship with Hyogo Prefecture this year, the event invited companies participating in the Washington State government's startup support program, and 24 people from 19 companies participated.
After presentations by Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. and Sysmex Corporation, two Hyogo Prefecture companies, participants met individually with the participating companies, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm to explore the possibilities of collaboration and expansion.
We will continue to work with the Hyogo Prefecture Washington State Office to support companies from the region as they expand into the area.
